Travel Bookings: Boston

BPLI just got back from a long weekend in Boston where I visited the Boston Public Library’s central branch in Copley Plaza. Built in 1848, BPL was the first municipally funded free public library in the United States. It was quite the pilgrimage for me.

If you are ever in Boston, make sure you visit, and take the free hour-long tour. Afterwards, I highly suggest heading across the street to the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, where you can pet the lobby dog, Catie, check out the hotel’s fantastic modern art collection in the entryway, and grab a “new fashioned” cocktail at the beautiful adjoining Oak Bar.

  2. Thanks Heidi, Boston is definitely on our retirement travel Bucket list — will visit BPL for sure!
