Book News Roundup – March 14, 2014

Reading room of the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, ParisChimamanda Ngozi Adichie has won the National Book Critic’s Circle Prize (one of my favourite literary awards!) for Americanah (one of my favourite novels of 2013!)

True Women Detectives! The Millions has created a list of female detective novels for those who felt the HBO series, True Detective, didn’t offer enough women’s roles.

The B.C. Book Prize shortlists were announced this week. Some of the titles are still on order for us, but be sure to check back regularly. There are some great books from B.C. to read!

What are you reading this weekend? I just picked up Tenth of December by George Saunders, and now I understand what all the fuss is about!
