We are super excited to partner with Upcycling Crafter Extraordinare, Denise Corcoran, to offer 3 amazing Crafternoon workshops this summer at the library.
The first, on Sunday July 28th from 1:30 to 3, will feature upcycling cereal boxes (yes, like save your Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Puffs boxes for the next few weeks!) into desk and fridge organizers. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring any of your faves along with you (I’m partial to Rice Crispies and Honey Nut Cheerios and think those would make fine organizers).
The next two — on August 25th and September 29th (both from 1:30-3) — will also feature cool uses of castaway items.
Denise is a local crafter and upcycler. Recently she was a featured panelist for the Craft Council of BC’s panel on ‘Craft, The Environment & Our Community’ at Vancouver Public Library. She is also the BC Champion for Culture Days. Visit her blog for more info about her and any recent projects or events at blog.thriftybydesign.ca.
All workshops are free, no registration required, and open to all ages and levels. For more info, visit our events calendar.
