Mark your calendars for an evening with Vancouver author, Kevin Chong, who will read from his memoir My Year of the Racehorse, described by Quill & Quire as “…a quirky, fast-paced gallop through the exhilaration, heartbreak, and financial responsibility of owning even a small share in racehorse.”
Kevin is the author of four books, including Beauty Plus Pity and the racetrack memoir, about his experiences owning a racehorse based in Vancouver’s Hastings Racetrack. He is an editor at Joyland.ca and teaches creative writing at UBC and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Joining Kevin is Mary Tasi, a Squamish Nation resident who is married into a prominent heriditary chieftanship family. She will read from her book, Spirit Memory.
