The upcoming North Shore Writers Festival on April 21 is one of the most exciting projects I’ve been working on lately.
This will mark the 13th year that North Vancouver City Library has partnered with the other two North Shore Libraries (North Vancouver District and West Vancouver Memorial Library) to host it. In the past, the festival was spread over two weeks, with author readings at the various North Shore Libraries, but this year we’re trying something different — a one-day festival extravaganza in the tradition of Vancouver Public Library’s popular Word On the Street.
Headlining authors include Marina Endicott, Anita Rau Badami and Daniel Kalla. There are also a host of panels and activities planned, an awesome prize giveaway, local food venders and a catered wine and cheese reception. So MARK YOUR CALENDARS! This is going to be one amazingly fun and enlightening day.
The festival is free and open to the public. For all the information and schedule of events, visit the festival website here.
